Beaches

There is nothing more refreshing and invigorating than a walk along the beach, with the winds sweeping in from the Atlantic. West Clare, with its long and rugged coastline has a variety of uncrowded beaches or safe sandy coves for the walker.

 

Watersports

Killaloe is home to the UL Sport Adventure Centre, which offers world class water sport facilities - www.ulac.ie.  A range of Summer camps are offered throughout July & August on a range of activities. The Activity Centre also offers a range of courses catering from beginners to the more experienced, with both land and waterbased activities.  

 

Walking

Clarisford Park has a 1000m running/walking trail, playing and training fields.  It is open to pedestrians with ample parking for casual users.

 

Fishing

The lakes, rivers and streams in Clare are rich in salmon, brown trout and a wide variety of coarse fish including pike & bream.
